Some people are complaining that their Download link for Windows 7 & Windows 2008 R2 is disable (grayed out) and they cannot download it anymore.
The problem is that they might have MSDN subscription but going to the Microsoft Technet subscribers site – http://technet.microsoft.com and not to the Microsoft MSDN subscriber site – http://msdn.microsoft.com. This happens when you click at the download links available at Microsoft sites and even MSDN site. Some of these links go to the TechNet download site.
This happen to me because I clicked at Windows 2008 R2 download link but that link is for TechNet subscribers and will take you to the TechNet download site. Surprisingly you can login and view all the download available as shown in below screen shot but download links are disabled.
Following is the screenshot of TechNet subscribers site at - https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/securedownloads/default.aspx

Hope this will help to other people to avoid confusion and able to download Windows 7 & Windows 2008 R2.
