September 6, 2008 6:25 a.m. EDT: Hanna made landfal early today and will continue to move further north. Hanna is causing lots of rain in the coastal area of SC & NC.
August 29, 2008 6:25 a.m. EDT: Hanna is expected to become hurricane by Sunday. Fortunately as of now it is not expected to impact land but it could during next week.
August 28, 2008 6 a.m. EDT: A low pressure located several hundred miles east-northeast of the Leeward Islands has become Tropical Depression Eight. It is continued strengthening and likely to become Tropical Storm Hanna today.
It is forecast to track northwest into the weekend, and become a hurricane by late this weekend. For now, it does not appear to be of any threat to land, but will need to be closely monitored beyond this weekend.
